Jamie holds a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture from The Pennsylvania State University, University Park, Pennsylvania. He has nearly 40 years’ experience in the commercial vegetable seed industry and many decades’ experience in pumpkin breeding.

In addition to pumpkin breeding, Jamie enjoys studying American history, the history of American agriculture, and the history of American seed companies. Jamie enjoys collecting vintage agricultural textbooks, vintage American history textbooks, and vintage tractors.
